Camp who is leaving his position as General  Manager at University Mall in Chapel Hill brings to The ArtsCenter over 25 years of management and marketing experience.<br \/>\nIn his position as General Manager at University Mall in Chapel Hill ,  Camp and his team were instrumental in changing the face of the mall to a community mall, which included organizing the  \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcScrapel Hill\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 art competition, featuring recycled works by local artists.    In addition, Ed worked alongside Jon and his staff to bring about a partnership with The ArtsCenter, which now houses it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s satellite space at University Mall.<br \/>\nEd specializes in the development of ground-up projects, which includes managing the development process.<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Ed is exactly what The ArtsCenter needs right now\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, said retiring Executive Director Jon Wilner, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153He has just the energy, drive and vision that we need to move forward, and keep us on the forefront of the local arts scene.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Ed is a natural fit at The ArtsCenter, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153 added Don Boulton, Interim Board Chair, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153He has a long time commitment to non-profits and the arts, and an amazing amount of energy for both. The ArtsCenter Board had several strong candidates from which to choose.  When Ed came to us and expressed an interest in the job, the Board felt that he was the right person at the right time.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\nA native North Carolinian, Ed  received his BA in journalism from UNC and has enjoyed a 25 year career in the shopping center industry and is the recipient of a number of international marketing awards.  Throughout his career, he has served a number of nonprofits all around the country and had been recognized for his contributions.
