Where To Buy Screenplays
2013 update. Much has changed since 1997. Today many screenplays are commercially published. Moreover, hundreds of scripts are available in various drafts on the Internet. I suggest starting at Simply Scripts, www.simplyscripts.com, which has much more than movie scripts.
There are several sources for buying contemporary screenplays:
Hollywood Scripts
1-818-980-3545
FAX 1-818-566-1143
Charge purchases can be made on the phone. For a catalogue, send $1 check or money order to:
5514 Satsuma Ave., Suite A
N. Hollywood, CA 91601
Another script source in LA is:
Book City, 213-466-2525
A recent magazine is devoted to screenplays. Scenario is a
quarterly that publishes 4 screenplays per issue. I am a charter
subscriber and think this is the best resource around.
Scenario is at:
Scenario
3200 Tower Oaks Blvd.
Rockville MD 20852
For info, call 1-800-222-2654 during weekday business hours.
If you are online, check out The Script Shop at http://www.scriptshop.com
for screenplays to purchase. They have almost everything.
Free downloads of selected scripts are available at Drew's Scripts-O-Rama at
