USS Chatterer II (YMS-415/AMS-40)

Any of various passerine birds.


YMS-415 was laid down at Stadium Yach Basic Inc., Celveland, Oh.; launched 515 April 1944; completed 1 October 1944.

YMS-415 was reclassified AMS-40 and renamed Chatterer on 11 March 1947. Chatterer was reclassified MSC(O)-5 on 7 February 1955.

On 16 April 1955, Chatterer was transferred to Japan, where she served as Yurishima (MCS-661) until retired. YMS-415 was struck from the Navy list 1 May 1968.
