 From what I recall, a mulch of ‘green stuff’ would support
the bacterial fellers.   The browns, correct me if I’m wrong, support the fungi.  And Hay, I learned at the ICTC meeting,
if cut green is a ‘green’ not a brown, even tho it appears brown; it still
holds the sugars from when it was cut. 
Straw, on the other hand was cut brown – the sugars left the stalk, so
it is a brown.  Interesting concept,
but makes total sense after you think about it.         -----Original
