[compost_tea] basic questions

I fear the previous discussion of lime sulfur was too complex for me, so am
hoping someone can answer in simple terms:

Is it good or bad to spray with lime sulfur (roses, apple trees) in the
winter, if one has been using compost tea?

How about dormant oil spray?

And...I am putting on a soil application of compost tea this week...should
that be the last application for the winter season?

I also fear now that the machine which my local nursery has, the Soil Soup
machine, which we got because it seemed to be the one recommended highly at
the time in newspaper articles, is now in disfavour?

Thanks,

Skyler
