Jose,
A 500 gallon brew requires only 15 pounds of compost/humus, so I don't
think your numbers are correct....should be at most, 37 or so pounds of
compost. Here are the numbers I use:
25 Gallons = 5 lbs (20 cups). 50 Gallons = 7 lbs (28 cups). 500 Gallon=
s
= 15 lbs (60 cups)
Of course, the amount differs from brewer to brew and you will have to
have yours tested to find the right quantity. The above numbers work for
most any commercial brewer using good compost/humus.
