 A WHOLE SYSTEMS APPROACH
 ADVANCED PERMACULTURE DESIGN CERTIFICATE COURSE
 AT SEVEN SEEDS BIODYNAMIC FARM, WILLIAMS, OREGON
 AUGUST 10-20, 2001

 A ten day intensive for basic design graduates to further develop
skills of
 thorough assessment and planning process. This course is geared

towards
 individuals who desire to become more competent designers and those
who wish
 to implement advanced Permaculture design and Keyline concepts into
long
 term sustainable systems.

 PARTICIPATE in an extensive "real life " Permaculture  retrofit to an
 existing old  homestead.  Use site assessment tools in design teams
to
 contribute to the Seven Seeds Farm design.
 UNDERSTAND how to drought proof arid or semi-arid landscapes with an
 emphasis on water catchment and distribution.  Determine pond
placement,
 ditch layout and efficient flood irrigation systems.
 APPLY Permaculture and Keyline principles to whole farm design.
Integrate
 healthy riparian conditions and healthy farming.

 *       Use natural patterns, zone and sector layout for conceptual
design
 *       In depth application of Keyline systems, pond design and
 construction
 *       Survey and  map a whole system design
 *       Explore whole watershed functions and stream restoration
 *       Field trips to local integrated Keyline Farms
 *       Evening slideshows, classes and hikes

 IN THE SISKIYOU  MOUNTAINS
 Located in Williams, Oregon, Seven Seeds Farm is nestled in the
pristine
 watershed of Grayback Mountain, which stands at the edge of an
extensive
 roadless area.  The Siskiyou Mountains are one of the most diverse
 geological and biological areas on the planet.  We are excited to
share this
 special place with you and welcome your participation in the design
of our
 farm.  We are an active Biodynamic farm that produces a diverse mix
of crops
 including market produce and seeds.  We host a variety of educational
 experiences as well as seasonal celebrations.  A schedule is
available upon
 request.

 REGISTRATION INFORMATION: The course cost of $1,100 includes tuition,
3
 homegrown meals a day, camping, course materials and field trips.
There is
 a $200 discount for registration received before June 10.  A
non-refundable
 deposit of $100 will ensure yourself a spot for this unique course
which is
 bound to fill quickly.  The course is limited to 22 participants for
an
 intimate learning experience.
