Re: [compost_tea] Re: SoilSoup Bioblender

<<<<<I would like to hear from others who have actually experimented with the machine. And I have nothing to do with SoilSoup by the way, I just inherited a bioblender and have met Jerry and Ed and others there, and I like them. I also appreciate their pioneering efforts on this new organic technology, and continue to think there is something worthy there. >>>>>

First,  here is my reaction to the SS.  Ed Neff sent me one and I used it and tested it without telling Dr. E the name of the machine.  I got O.K. bacterial, but NO fungal.  I then ran a pump inside the bag....same thing. I think the only reason I got good bacteria was because of the use of AH.

Second, someone suggest that Dr. Elaine help improve the machine. Elaine and others, myself included, have have made suggestion regarding the machine. These have not been taken. It is not up to us to improve the machine. This is Ed and Jerry's job. If they don't want to, they need to understand that there is a group of folks who rely on tests and when we recommend machines or write about their use, we do tell readers to check the tests or we report our own tests.  They will, ultimately, loose no matter how much PR they pay for because garden writers are very, very sensitive to passing on bad information.

Third, it is a shame that Soil Soup folks won't come out of their lurkdom here and participate. No one wants to harm their business.

Cheers,

Jeff
