There are
significant differences and I have seen them in the data. I believe you are
correct when you say the numbers remain in the “good” range but lets be clear
here. Not as varied as compost yes, that’s true but there are still some wide
differences. Better to say there are none of the dangerous shifts we find in
poor compost. Tom Jaszewski www.livesoil.com 702-595-7012 -----Original
Message----- Susan, the
beauty of Alaska Humus is that it doesn't vary as does compost. And, in
addition, we test each batch of Alaska Humus. It is consistent with regard
to bacteria and fungi. In fact, what we are now using comes from one piece of
property and we will probably be selling from there for at least a year. We have
tests from several locations going back to 1999. Believe me, you do not have to
worry about the diversity and the high numbers for the fungal and bacteria in
Alaska Humus. As you know, I use the humus from the same batches you are
getting and you have seen the high, high fungal and bacterial numbers. Cheers, Jeff L
