[compost_tea] sprucing up pine trees

I want to improve the health of a couple of 30 year old pines
decorating the entrance to my house. I am new to CT applications and
could use some help.

As soon as Michigan weather permits, I was thinking of brewing a
fungus rich brew in my new Simplici-T 5 gallon model and drenching
the soil around the roots after a little aeration work with a spading
fork.

Should I try to spray the needles? Bark? It's ectomycorrhizal
action that I want, isn't it?

Would it be a good idea to make a brew from some decayed litter of a
nearby pine forest?

Any comments or help will be greatly appreciated.
