Maria E. McCarthy Ringwood
WAPPINGERS FALLS - Maria E. McCarthy Ringwood, 39, a lifelong
resident of Wappingers Falls, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003
at New York Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan.
Mrs. Ringwood was the Associate Director of the Vassar
Brothers Medical Center Foundation for the past three years.
She was a member of the Theatre Arts Group in Poughkeepsie;
a member of the County Players in Wappingers Falls; a member
of St. Columba Adult Contemporary Choir and a member of
St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction. Born May 21, 1964
in Mineola, N.Y., she was the daughter of William and Valerie
Hennessy McCarthy, who survive in Wappingers Falls. On April
7, 1990 in St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction, she married
David J. Ringwood. Mr. Ringwood is the Executive Director
of the American Heart Association. He survives at home.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is also survived
by her son, Liam Edward Ringwood and her daughter, Grace
Valerie Ringwood, both at home; her grandfather, A. Edward
Hennessy and his wife, Josephine; her brothers, Thomas McCarthy
and his wife, Michelle of Shelton, Conn.; Mark McCarthy
and his wife, Rathi Pala Krishnan of Kigali, Rwanda; and
several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Charles A. and
Helen J. McCarthy and Rosalie Hennessy.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday and 2-4
and 7-9 p.m., Friday, at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895
Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Columba Church,
835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Interment will be in St.
Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction.
