Friends of North Carolina Public Libraries, established in 1980, is a statewide organization run by volunteers from around North Carolina. It promotes library services throughout the state by encouraging and assisting the formation, growth, and development of Friends of the Library groups and by providing the means for Friends to exchange ideas, information and experiences.
