Empidonax flycatchers are often hard to identify in the field and
even in the hand. The current installment of "This Week at Hilton
Pond" is a photo essay about the Acadian Flycatcher--and one of its
mid-summer "look-alikes" in the Carolina Piedmont.
Just visit the week of 15-21 July 2002 on the Web site for Hilton
Pond Center for Piedmont Natural History by clicking on this direct
link: http://www.hiltonpond.org/ThisWeek020715.html .
As always, a summary of banded and recaptured birds is included in
the weekly report.
Please forward this message to folks who share our interest in the
natural world.
Happy Nature Watching!
