As you were able to get this out more quickly, it is true, the peregrinne
has been delisted.
Sandy's point is well taken. If the genetic intergity of the birds in the
Southeast were not so questionable, I would as well challenge the health of
the burgeoning population. Albeit, the criteria for delisting the species
have been met, and threats to its continued survival have been removed.
Thanks to the falconers for the techniques to captive rear and hack this
species, it has rebounded significantly.
Although not an endangered species anymore, the peregrine falcon is still
afforded protection under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and other laws.
