Hi Carolinabirders,

Sorry to be so talkative lately, but I just noticed that the fall NAMC is
this Saturday. Will is organizing the Chatham County/Jordan Lake end of
things. Are any other counties around here being covered? By whom? It
would seem sort of silly to have a dozen people working Chatham County
while Orange, Durham, Wake, and the rest of the counties go uncovered.
And it would be a real shame to leave the coastal hotspots like Dare and
Carteret County unaccounted for; shocking as it seems, during the 1998
spring NAMC, I was the only person in all of Dare County, and no one at
all recorded in Carteret!

Then again, if Floyd behaves the way that Dennis did, it might not be so
wise to go birding in Dare or Carteret County this weekend...

Good birding,

Josh
