I took a quick swing through Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve in Cary during
lunch. Quite a bit of bird activity. Don't know if the front brought some
birds in or if they are just happy to have a sunny day with no rain.
Arriving winter residents included Brown Creeper, Yellow Bellied Sapsucker,
Golden Crowned Kinglet and Hermit Thrush. We've had White Throated
Sparrows at the feeders for a few days now. I guess it's time to sit back
and wait for the invasion of butter-butts!
