Hi C-birders,
My feeders are still devoid of the Pine Siskins and Red-breasted
Nuthatches that have been reported in other yards in the area. However,
other species sound like they're on the way:
Cape May, NJ has had a Common Redpoll and several Red Crossbills.
A number of Pacific Loons have shown up in northeast Texas, earlier and
in greater numbers than usual.
Hawk watches in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia are reporting
record numbers of Northern Goshawks.
A Golden Eagle was reported from Lake Jackson, FL.
Massachusetts birders have already found their first Snowy Owl of the
year, and birders in Connecticut are reporting at least one, and possibly
two, Gyrfalcons!
Keep your eyes peeled...
Josh
