headboat birding out of Murrells Inlet

Hi Carolinabirders,
Today I took the Capt. Bill III headboat out of Murrells Inlet to the Gulf
Stream 50 plus miles out.
	It was interesting.
1. Cory's Shearwater-4 all at 50 miles +
2. Audubon's Shearwater-1 at 50 miles +
3. Double-crested Cormorant-2 near shore-1 and 1 about 30 miles out.
4. Jaeger sp.-2 both 50+ miles out. Both zoomed right in on the boat and
both did two flybys. I saw both real well with the naked eye and the bins.
Though I looked I could not see the center tail projections on either
bird. Both really appeared considerably shorter and less bulky than the
dark phase Pomarine I had and that I photographed on the outer banks this
past June. The first one was a dark phase adult and showed three white
flashes in the upper wing. primaries. Probable Parasitic? The second
Jaeger was a light phase adult. I did not recall seeing any flash in the
wing on this bird but then again I was intent on photographing it. It
seems that the white flash in the wing really has to be looked for. Again a
probable Parasitic?
5. Laughing Gull-21 all <5 miles out.
6. Ring-billed Gull-3 <5 miles out.
7. Herring Gull-1 first winter bird sitting on water and in flight 50 miles
out
  Gull sp-3 <5 miles out.
8. Caspian Tern-1 <5 miles out.
9. Foster's Tern-1 adult in basic plumage 50 miles out
10. Tern sp-4
