Carolinabirders
One American Avocet on Lake Murray, Lexington County and two
on Lake Brown, Barnwell County.
David Dobson and I had an avocet roosting on Lake Murray, on a
small island near Lunch/Bomb Island (the Purple Martin Roost
Sanctuary) on 31 October. It was with 31 Greater Yellowlegs and 1
Lesser Yellowlegs.
Mike Turner had two avocets on Lake Brown in Barnwell, on 31
October. He said they were on the lower part of the lake.
