Hi everyone,
This morning our yard was invaded by Robins. They were everywhere and
eating everything. I hope they leave some food for everyone else:-).
While looking out the kitchen window spotted a female Purple Finch in a
Tulip tree, first this fall. She was eating seeds (really fruits, looked it
up) from one of the cones.
Also saw a Cedar Waxwing in the Pokeweed; ate 3 berries at a time.
Seemed to be rushing (maybe because it was in the company of one of the
hungry Robins). Another new yard bird, the Waxwing, that is. Didn't see any
other Waxwings around.
The Hermit Thrush was also in the same Pokeweed.
