Photos of NC rarities

Carolinabirders:
As part of making the North Carolina Records Committee easier to contact and
to also see what records we are currently working on, the committee (along
with CBC web-guru Russ Tyndall), has put together a page of recent photos on
the Carolina Bird Club Web-page (address below). These photos are part of
the current documentation of recent rarities recorded within NC and once
voted on by the committee, they will be removed and replaced with the next
selection.

Photographs are very useful for the committee when trying to confirm and
evaluate rare and unusual birds, although they do not replace a thorough
written descripton of the species in question. For those rarity-chasers out
there prowling the state, always try to get photograhic evidence of the
bird(s) you find. It makes our job a lot easier, as well as providing
excellent archival records or unusual species.

Again, constructive and informative comments are always appreciated.
