Unusual records on the Spartanburg count include Horned Grebe on Zimmerman
Lake, Pintail at Twin Lakes, one Herring Gull and an unusually high number
of Ring-Billed Gulls at Palmetto Landfill, and a possible Yellow Warbler.
Relatively few winter irruptive species, with only Red-Breasted Nuthatch,
Purple Finch, and Pine Siskin.
The Calliope is still in Greer as of Saturday (Jan 1), but outside the CBC
circle.
