Consequently, nationals and residents of Trinidad and Tobago are entitled to file international applications on and after March 10, 1994, and from the same date it is possible to file international applications designating and electing Trinidad and Tobago (country code is TT). #1994, Mar The USPTO has received notification from the World Intellectual Property Organization that Georgia, on January 18, 1994, deposited a declaration the effect of which is that the PCT is applied by Georgia. Consequently, nationals and residents of Georgia are entitled to file international applications under the PCT, and Georgia (country code is GE) may be designated and elected in international applications. Applicants are, under the PCT Regulations, afforded the possibility of requesting the extension of the effects of any international application filed on or after December 25, 1991 (the date on which the Soviet Union ceased to exist) to States which have made a declaration of continuation. PCT Rule 32 will allow the extension to Georgia of international applications filed between December 25, 1991, and March 18, 1994. Georgia becomes the 64th Contracting State of the PCT. The applicant in respect of each international application concerned, or his agent, will receive a notification from the International Bureau of WIPO, informing him about the possibility and the applicable conditions for extending the effects of his international application to Georgia.
