This was brought home to me today when my collegue, Jerry Saye talked lovingly about his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.irobot.com\/\">Roomba<\/a>. Not his first Roomba but his second. The old one wasn&#8217;t up to what the new one can do and lacked in certain features like scheduling a cleaning whilst you are away.<br \/>\nAnother collegue, Jeffery Pomerantz, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibiblio.org\/pomerantz\/blog\/?p=412\">bought his wife a Roomba for Valentine&#8217;s this year<\/a>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.irobot.com\/images\/consumer\/roombalogo\/red.jpg\" alt=\"Valentine's Roomba\" align=left \/><br \/>\nWe support a wonderful artist in part by having her clean our house. We also get to have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indyweek.com\/gyrobase\/Content?oid=oid%3A19291\">her highly decorated car which is a piece of sculptural work parked in our drive<\/a> while she cleans. It&#8217;s like rented a piece of art every two weeks &#8212; plus ending up with a clean house.<br \/>\nI did take Sally to Chicago and to NextFest where we saw the latest Roomba. One like Jerry&#8217;s new vac. We also saw <a href=\"http:\/\/ohzlab.kaist.ac.kr\/\">Hubo<\/a> and the<a href=\"http:\/\/ibiblio.org\/pjones\/wordpress\/?p=609\"> Philip K Dick Android<\/a>.
