The patented automatic book making machine will revolutionize publishing by printing and delivering physical books within minutes. The EBM is a product of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ondemandbooks.com\">On Demand Books, LLC (\u00e2\u20ac\u0153ODB\u00e2\u20ac\u009d)<\/a>, the company founded by legendary publishing executive Jason Epstein and business partner Dane Neller, who joined SIBL\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Kristin McDonough for a private event there to speak about the EBM\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s potential impact on the future of reading and publishing.<\/p>\n<p>The Espresso Book Machine will be available to the public at SIBL through August, and will operate Monday- Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The New York Public Library&#8217;s Science, Industry and Business Library is located at 188 Madison Avenue (at 34th Street).<\/p>\n<p>Library users will have the opportunity to print free copies of such public domain classics as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Adventures of Tom Sawyer\u00e2\u20ac\u009d by Mark Twain, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Moby Dick\u00e2\u20ac\u009d by Herman Melville, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153A Christmas Carol\u00e2\u20ac\u009d by Charles Dickens and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Songs of Innocence\u00e2\u20ac\u009d by William Blake, as well as appropriately themed in-copyright titles as Chris Anderson\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Long Tail\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and Jason Epstein\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s own \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Book Business.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d The public domain titles were provided by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opencontentalliance.org\/\">Open Content Alliance (\u00e2\u20ac\u0153OCA\u00e2\u20ac\u009d),<\/a> a non-profit organization with a database of over 200,000 titles. The OCA and ODB are working closely to offer this digital content free of charge to libraries across the country. Both organizations have received partial funding from the Alfred P.
