In particular, she has been interested in the travels of the banjo from Africa to America to Europe to America to Appalachia. Amongst other things, Cee Cee produced the Smithsonian Folkways compilation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.folkways.si.edu\/search\/AlbumDetails.aspx?ID=2411\">&#8220;Black Banjo Songsters of North Carolina &#038; Virginia&#8221;<\/a> and the book  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0870498932\/\">&#8220;African Banjo Echoes in Appalachia: A Study of Folk Traditions&#8221;<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now Cece is putting together a conference and gathering called &#8220;<em><a href=\"http:\/\/blackbanjo.com\/\">Black Banjo Then and Now Gathering<\/a><\/em> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.appstate.edu\/\">Appalachian State University<\/a> in Boone, NC, April 7th through 10th, 2005.
