{"id":973,"date":"2006-01-16T20:14:46","date_gmt":"2006-01-17T01:14:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ibiblio.org\/pjones\/wordpress\/?p=973"},"modified":"2006-01-16T20:22:14","modified_gmt":"2006-01-17T01:22:14","slug":"turning-tables-on-journalists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ibiblio.org\/pjones\/blog\/turning-tables-on-journalists\/","title":{"rendered":"Turning tables on Journalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My collegue Chris Roush on his<a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.jomc.unc.edu\/talkingbiznews\/\"> Talking Biz News Blog<\/a> takes <a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.jomc.unc.edu\/talkingbiznews\/?p=262\">the story of a BusinessWeek reporter who has his email interview questions posted by the interviewee.<\/a><br \/>\nI disagree with Chris and <a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.jomc.unc.edu\/talkingbiznews\/?p=262#comment-197\">point to Dan Gillmor&#8217;s book in the comments.<\/a> Dan touches on <a href=\"http:\/\/citmedia.org\/blog\/2006\/01\/16\/journalists-having-transparency-imposed-on-them\/\">the story on his own blog for the Center for Citizen Media<\/a>.<br \/>\nAlso in the comments on Chris&#8217; blog, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesanitycheck.com\/\">thesanitycheck.com<\/a> folks post a comment and a traceback to the interviewee&#8217;s reply.<br \/>\nThen Chris publishes this update: <a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.jomc.unc.edu\/talkingbiznews\/?p=272\">BusinessWeek reporter calls and is mad; Overstock head responds on Internet again<\/a>. The reporter hasn&#8217;t caught on yet.<br \/>\nOf course I posted a comment to Dan&#8217;s blog telling him and his readers about Chris&#8217;s posts.<br \/>\nGot all that?<br \/>\nHang on there&#8217;s more. Chris just posted, when I wasn&#8217;t looking, another bit from SanityCheck. This time, we learn that CNBC&#8217;s marker guru, Jim Cramer is threatening Sanity Check&#8217;s webmaster in <a href=\"http:\/\/weblogs.jomc.unc.edu\/talkingbiznews\/?p=273\">More from The Sanity Check: Jim Cramer is mad now<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My collegue Chris Roush on his Talking Biz News Blog takes the story of a BusinessWeek reporter who has his email interview questions posted by the interviewee.
