Getting audio from a CD
we had some fun yesterday trying to get audio from a CD in 106 Howell. it
worked great at home in my office, but not in 106. Here's why: the sound
card in the Dells of 106 doesn't have a driver that allows it to get the
sound from the CD, but the one in my lovely office does.
There is a slightly geeky way to grab sound tho.
You need: a wire with "mini-headphone-like" connectors. you probably have
one end in your own CD players. There is one in Jay Aikat and Jayson
Johnson's office that I believe will work and I'm looking for one here.
You connect one end to the headphone jack of the CD player and the other
end to the microphone jack. Then you select your input as coming from the
microphone
or you can drop by 213 Manning and Todd and/or Uzi can help you out.
