Yes. If you want to use GGI you don't need fbdev. GGI supports many
display targets.

SOL with this card for the stock kernel driver. The current ati driver for
the kernel doesn't support the gx card. I have one too and it doesn't even
see my card. Now as for the KGI driver that might work.
