I'm confused. Aren't some of those bennies omnivores?
I thought they needed both nectar and bugs? If the wasps don't have the
nectar source, how are they gonna lay their egs which do the actual
control? Or stick around? Don't adult lady bugs need nectar and aphids
to lay there eggs, and it's the larvae which do the lion's share (pun
intended) of the control?
What if you don't have the pests when the flowers bloom, but 4 weeks
later? By destroying the food source, wouldn't you then be bennie-free?
I'm honestly confused, and can't wrap my little brain around this
technique. It conflicts with my limited understanding of bennie
life-cycles.
Is this perhaps for 1 particular bennie i don't know about, or regional?
TIA
Sean
