John wounders if the wild strawberries taking over his
garden are invasive because he has too much acidity
in the soil.

Perhaps so but we have alkaline soil and our wild strawberries
tend to take over our garden as well. I think they are handsome
plants but they are also invasive. They grow particularly well
when the soil is rich in orgaic and water retentive.
