You can lime now. The reason why the fall is recommended is because it
can take six months for granulated lime to work. If you use pelletized
lime, it will work in faster than the granular lime.
I don't know about the lobster meal (But aren't lobsters expensive? you
must be rich to be applying them to your garden).
Ground shells of any sea animals are a very slow-acting replacement for
lime.
