Michael plans to build a 75' x 75' all glass roofed building
complete with water fall to house a simulated indoor rainforest
and asks for help regarding plant & critter selection.
I would suggest that you start by dealing with the base
question. . ."why do you want to do such a thing? . . . if you
want to show something, what are you trying to show?. My hunch
is that you might be trying to duplicate a specific rainforest
and, if so, you would need to pick plants and critters appropriate
to that particular setting.
A 75' x 75' glass roof will collect a lot of solar heat and act
as a "hot house". . . you may need to add something like shade
cloth or coat the glasss with white wash. You may also want to
include some sort of circulating fans or even air conditioning.
Again, if you are trying to duplicate a specific rainforest, you
need to be at least ball park in terms of light, heat, and humidity
as well as flor and fauna.
If you are trying to duplicate a specific rainforest, you might
do an internet search and get some leads as to which plants and
critters are native or naturalized in that setting.
