Subject: Mosquitos in my garden From: "Sunny" <brunner@bellsouth.net> Organization: Date: Thu, 24 Aug 00 02:43:16 Message-ID: <MOD$000823.5700@rec.gardens.ecosystems>
I've become almost house-bound because of the mosquitoes in my herb garden
and vegetable garden. These are a tiny black mosquito which gives no
buzzing warning and no pain when it bites. After about two minutes, the
bite area burns severely for about 15-30 minutes. They bite both day and
night in the sunshine or shade.
I've checked my property thoroughly. There is no standing water where they
can breed. I live in a town of approximately 60,000.
I do not live near a stream or river.
I don't like to use chemicals, but is there anything I can put on my yard
and garden to repel these viscous little biters.
I use "OFF Skintastic insect repellent" when I have to work in the gardens,
but I can't use it when I just walk to the car or go out to feed the cat.
They attack almost immediately upon walking outside.
