>Hi,I`ve been vermicomposting for 3 yrs and grow 4 types of worms.
What are the 4 types you grow? Do you grow them together or separately? I
didn't know there were more than one composting worm.
>When >you said the worms drowned,I wonder if you have enough drainage holes in >your bin?Plastic or wood?
Plastic and the trouble was that the drainage pan below filled up because of
all the watermellon juice. It was just too much liquid.
For THIS attempt, I've added a lot more drainage holes and installed a garden
drain in the drainage pan so that all water will fall out instead of
accumulate. Also, this will allow a lot more air to circulate in the bins.
I'm using the rubbermaid stacking system with the 73 Quart tubs. I'm not sure
how soon I would add the next tub but I'm thinking I should add one a month
until I get twelve, then the bottom one could be harvested and rotated to the
top for new input.
