Ants will come to your bin to feed on the food and red ants will attack
worms and there cocoons,so they can be a problem.Ants do not like to
live where it is wet so try and water your bed often to discourage them
from building a nest.If your plastic bin has a lip on the sides, you can
put vasoline all the way around it.That will stop them from climbing up
the sides,if they are entering in a vent hole you might try vasoline
there too.I use a product called "Neem tree oil insecticdal soap
concentrate"and spray a 4-5 barrier around the bins,not in the bin,but
any soap spray should chase them away.Any insecticide could hurt you and
your worms so I don't advise them.Usually the water works, you just have
to be careful not to drown your worms again! Then there`s always the
blow torch...
