Nasty! They tend to hide in dark, moist spots during the day (ie between
slats of benches) and come out to dine after dark. Had a lifelong battle
with the little buggers myself, the problem is that they tend to
over-populate a "good" area where they find shade, dampness such as moss and
a smorgasbord of edibles.
My best low-toxic suggestion is to fill a spray bottle with water and a bit
of dishwashing liquid, then spray every nook and cranny. Underneath benches,
along the perimeter outside of your greenhouse. If you hit any, believe me,
they will come out! Do this on several consecutive days and you may well
find that the earwigs give up and move elsewhere.
Better than using chemicals and worth a try, eh? :)))
