There are definite downsides to being 17 years old, and one of them is that
I still live at home, with a bunch of rampant consumer polluters. Being the
opposite of that, I try to educate them on some of the atrocities they are
committing to their very own property (we live on several acres of
woods/fields). One crime against humanity is their liberal use of Round Up
and Crossbow. For some reason, they'd rather stare at a bare patch of
gravel instead of the various plants ("weeds") that tend to grow when nature
is left to its own devices. So, they spray and spray, and I get very upset
with them about this. We live on creek property, and have a trout pond. We
also drink well water. So, needless to say, I'm very aware of what is put
on the earth.
Anyway, my parents claim that Round Up and Crossbow are harmless after a few
days, that they break down. Is there any merit to this claim? I simply
can't imagine it.
Thanks for any information for a very frustrated teenager...
