Hi I found an article in an old issue of Organic Gardening regarding
the use of old Shipping Pallets for a compost bin.

I obtained several pallets from my neighbor at no cost. I attached
them together with bungi cords and built a two bin compost container.
The pallets are 42 inches square. I laid 2 sheets of corrugated
plastic roofing over the bins to keep off excess rain & sun. One pallet
is used for the floor. This lets air crculate. and then one on each
side and one in back. I left the front of mine open. You have the
option of placing a pallet there also but I didn't see the need.

It works great and I intend to add a third bin in the spring.
