Hello (delurk),
At present my back garden is a blank canvas.
I have been keeping chickens and a pair of geese on it for the past three
years, and now the whole place is a bare barren mudbath.
Within the next few weeks all the chickens will be moved away to an area of
self-seeded woodland which I'm renting.

Now I'm wondering what plants would be best to put on the bare garden. I
want the garden to look 'natural', and be able to support a good ecosystem
for the area I live in, which is the Cotswolds, SW England. The garden is
long and thin (approx 8'x150'), and on a steep unterraced slope. The soil is
mostly heavy clay, mixed with a covering of poultry manure!. I would like to
keep to having native plants.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas they'd like to share?
Best wishes,
Cearc
