Fill some 2 litre pop bottles with water and surround your plants with them.
They'll absorb warmth during the day and give off the heat slowly in the
evening.
For something more long-term, you should try to build a clear plastic cloche
over your plants. The plastic tent should be easy to vent since I'm assuming
it does get warm during the day. For an idea on what to build, take a look
