howdy,
in reference to your goose question, geese are excellent garden helpers.
my mother has a flock of them that she rents out to local farmers in her
area that want to control pests organically. the twofold benefit is
that they also fertilize as they go after the pests. you would have to
wait until your plants have some size to them as the geese are not
concerned about where they step and could crush your smaller plants. i
have heard that chickens are also great gardeners and i even had a
drawing of a wonderful chicken coop/garden combination.
