"Common-Sense Pest Control" by Olkowski mentions a
firm in the San Francsiico area that rents goats for
weed control. The text also mentions the California
Highway people using plants to crowd out other plants
as part of their weed abatement program.

Steps in the right direction as alternatives to the
use of pesticides that are destructive of the environment!
