Being a moderated group has advantages like hardly any junk posts, an
online archive, and people that can be contacted in case of trouble. It
does have disadvantages as well. The whole mechanism depends on
ibiblio/metalab/sunsite, so if anything breaks down there, it is broken
for everyone. The people over there do a wonderful job, but not all
problems can be avoided all the time. I expect the last problems to
arise this weekend. If anyone experiences problems posting, please let
me know (and please keep a local copy of your post next few days).
