The question was asked about an organic control of
fleas in a garden. "Common Sense Pest Control" by
Olkowski has a good section on this topic. It suggests
spot treatment with insecticidal soap or spot treatment
with pyrethrum or one of the pyrethrum substitutes.

As an aside, we've got a dog that has been on Advantage,
a product from the Vet that is applied to the back of the
neck. The stuff works - Mitzi hasn't had a flea for years
and we live in an area where there are lots of fleas.
