The most effective way to control black spot is sanitation.
That means picking off infected leaves, and cleaning up and removing any
infected leaves that fall to the ground. Black spot is spread by water or
rain splashing spores onto leaves. Don't water from above, and don't give
the water any black spot source to spread!
