I know how you feel. Florida is weed heaven as well. My philosophy is
to just keep weeding - it keeps me off the street . I try to get
them before they bloom to minimize seed production. Sometimes you just
have to learn to live with weeds.

By the way, when my mother (who lives in new York) sees me pull
artillery fern (one of the most noxious orchid weeds here) out of my
orchid pots, she wants to know why I'm pulling out that nice plant.
And one of my friends has an artillery fern specimen plant in their
garden. It's all in the eyes of the beholder.
