i was wondering if anyone has noticed a phenomena that seems to be
occuring inour yard and our neighbor. when we moved to our house 12
years ago it was common practice for our neighborhood to hire a yard
weed service. we then had problems with our new puppie ( seizures,
tremors, etc.) we stopped the lawn service. this was approximatley 10
years ago. for the last 5 years we have noticed a considerable increase
in the number of toads. this year is the best year yet. i have also
noticed this at my neighbors, who has followed our practice on non
chemical treatments. we use mulch for weeds, cut our grass long - for
the weeds, hand pick all but the ugliest bugs. (some of them ijust can't
stand to touch). we have had chemical free tomatoes for 5 years. i did
notice some slugs this year, i have not treated for them, i wonder who
eats slugs?

anyway, just some good news from the non chemical front.
