I'm moving to Florida, and I'm not allowed to take plants with me. I
can understand why, since introduced pests can thrive where winter
temperatures don't keep them in check.
I wonder if it would be alright to dig some tubers of my Lovage
(Levisticum officinale), cut off the tops, rinse them in something to
kill anything that might be lurking there, and pack the tubers in moist
peat moss. Will this work? What can I dip them in that will kill
possible pests but not the Lovage roots?
