I am not sure what your use of peat moss is?
If you are looking for a substitute for peatmoss as a soil conditioner
then it should be Compost ( or manure 2nd best ) always.
Peat moss should never have gone into growing beds.

If you are looking for a growing medium for container plants or seed
starting then I can say that I have used a Product by
Wal-Mart ( I believe it is pine ) that markets that it is a peat
substitute .

under name: MAGIC EARTH.
